How it works

From first call to first day abroad.

Day 0 · 30-minute call

An honest read of your intent, budget, and timeline.

No portal, no questionnaire treadmill. A counsellor listens, asks the questions that change the shortlist, and tells you what is and isn’t realistic in your case.

Week 1 · Shortlist

A shortlist of 4-6 fits, drawn from all nine destinations.

Career-first matching, not brochure-first. Each university is named with the reason it fits, the cost reality, and the post-study work pathway.

Weeks 2-6 · Apply

Applications drafted, edited, and filed through the right portal.

UCAS, Common App, direct apply. Statement of purpose, references, financials. Reviewed before submission, not after.

Post-offer · Prepare

Language certification, visa filing, accommodation, financials.

One team across every step. IELTS or PTE booking, the visa pack to the embassy, halls vs private, deposit timing. All sequenced, all on calendar.

Arrival · First week

In-country handoff and a post-arrival check-in.

Airport pickup arranged where we have presence, first-week setup notes, a 30-day check-in. The relationship doesn’t end at the gate.

Cost calculator

A rough number, before you call.

Year one, end-to-end. Tuition, accommodation, visa, health cover, deposits. Nothing hidden, nothing left out.

  • Native currency for each country. Sourced from official visa fees and partner-university intake data.
  • Calibrated for international students across nine destinations.
  • The number that goes on the first call. Not a marketing range.

Words of praise from students we’ve worked with.

The shortlist wasn’t a brochure. It was four universities with reasons attached. We picked the third one and it was the right call.

They talked me out of one country and into another. Saved me about £6,000 and a year I would have wasted in the wrong city.
Rohan IyerTUM Munich · BSc Mechanical, 2024
UCAS, the visa, halls deposit, IELTS booking. All handled by the same counsellor, in the right order, on calendar. I just answered emails.
Priya MenonEdinburgh · LLB, 2025
The cost breakdown was line-by-line. No hidden Transitley fee inside the tuition number. First consultancy that just told me the truth.
Vivaan KapoorUniversity of Toronto · BCom, 2024
My visitor visa was filed in the same week as my consultation. No back-and-forth, no missing documents. Approval inside three weeks.
Saanvi ReddySchengen Visitor Visa, 2025
I’d been spoken to like a sales lead by three other agencies. Transitley spoke to me like an adult making a real decision.
Arjun PatelImperial College · MSc AI, 2025
They said upfront my case for the US wasn’t winnable this round. Refunded the advance. Filed me to Canada instead, where I got in.
Anika JoshiUniversity of British Columbia · MEng, 2024
The fee estimator I’d seen online lowballed by £5,000. Transitley’s number was honest from the first conversation.
Krish BhatiaKing’s College · BSc Computer Science, 2025
French entry was complicated. Campus France, Etudes, the lot. They knew the system. I didn’t have to.
Meher SinghSciences Po · Bachelor of Arts, 2025
Same counsellor from the first call to my first week in Sydney. No handoffs, no “your file moved to a different team.”
Tara D’SouzaUniversity of Sydney · MBA, 2025
I came in dead-set on Australia. After the call I switched to New Zealand for the post-study work pathway. Best decision I’ve made.
Yash KothariUniversity of Auckland · BBA, 2024
I sat on the consultation for two months before I called. Wish I’d done it the week I considered it. Would have saved a missed intake.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Grouped by where you are in the decision. If your question isn’t here, a counsellor will reply within two hours.

How do I pick the right destination?

We start from career outcomes, not university brochures. A 30-minute call walks through your field, budget, post-study work intent, and timeline. The shortlist usually narrows to two or three countries that actually fit. Sometimes none of them are the one you walked in expecting.

Do you only work with Indian students?

Most of our students are from India, but we work with international students of any nationality applying to the nine destinations we cover. The process and care are identical.

How early should I start?

Twelve months before your intended intake is comfortable. Six months is workable. Three months is tight but feasible for some routes. Under that, we’ll be honest about whether the next intake is the realistic option.

Can my parents join the consultation?

Encouraged. The cost picture, the post-study work pathway, and the visa timeline are easier to align when the people funding the decision are in the room.

I know my country and course. Can you still help?

Yes. We run application support for students who’ve already chosen. Application drafting, SOPs, references, financials, visa, accommodation. The depth of the engagement scales to what you actually need.

What if I miss my intake?

Most universities allow a deferral to the next intake. We handle the deferral request and keep your offer warm. If deferral isn’t an option, we pivot to an alternate university with the same field, same intake window, equivalent rank.

Can a group of friends apply together?

Yes. We run small-group consultations for friends or cohorts applying together. Same destination, same intake, often shared accommodation later. The pricing is per-student, not per-group.

Can I reschedule my consultation?

Freely, up to 24 hours before the slot. Same-day rescheduling is on a best-effort basis. WhatsApp the counsellor and we’ll find another slot the same week.

How much does Transitley charge?

The first consultation is free. After that, a fixed fee is quoted once we’ve seen the shape of your case. Transparent, written, no surprises. The fee depends on country, level, and how much of the journey we run (application-only vs. end-to-end).

Are there hidden costs?

No. The estimator above shows the five real line items: tuition, visa, IHS, living, Transitley fee. Embassy fees and university deposits are paid directly by you to those institutions. Never routed through us.

What’s the refund policy?

If we tell you your case isn’t winnable and you’ve already paid an advance, we refund it in full. If you withdraw before applications are filed, we refund pro-rata against work done.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Usually split into three: at sign-on, at first offer, at visa filing. We don’t take the full fee upfront.

What’s your visa approval rate?

98% on visitor visas filed in the last 12 months, audited Q4 2025. The cases we decline to file aren’t counted. We only file what we believe is winnable.

Do you help with dependent visas?

Currently no. We focus on student admissions and visitor visas. Dependent-visa support is on the roadmap but not live yet. We’ll be honest about that on the call rather than promising something we don’t do well.

What if my visa is rejected?

We read the refusal letter and tell you honestly whether to reapply, appeal, or pivot to a different country. Some refusals are document-fixable. Some need a strategy change. The post-refusal conversation is free.

Can you handle visitor visas only, without admissions?

Yes. The visa service is standalone. Family visits, business trips, Schengen, US B-1/B-2, UK Standard Visitor, etc. See the visa page for the full scope.
